João Garcia is a leading Portuguese mountaineer. In 1999 he climbed Mount Everest and, in 2010, he summited the Annapurna without the aid of supplemental oxygen, becoming the 10th man of all time to climb all 14 eight-thousanders without bottled oxygen or Sherpas. He used a Sun Cook in a base camp at 6400m, while climbing mount Lhotse, amazing everybody in his camp with the Sun Cook's performance. His Sherpas continue using it, proving the reliability and "all-weatherness" of the ultimate solar oven.
